Remote Support Information

Cosmic Support can remote control any person's computer in the world with their permission. This enables us to quickly diagnose and even fix most software problems efficiently. Once the session has ended, the remote software client will be uninstalled from your PC.

Using the form on our Remote Support page select from the drop down box the issue you are having problems with or "Other" if it is not listed, then enter your name, company name (if applicable), and provide a short description of the problem.

Click submit, and you will be prompted to download a file, later versions of Windows, Internet Explorer and other third party web browsers may block this file. Look for a yellow alert bar, click it and choose to accept the download. Select the option to "Run" or "Open", you may have to enter this twice.

If your computer is adequately protected, a firewall problem such as Windows or third party will popup to ask you if you wish to allow this software to connect to the internet, please select to allow and if possible tick any box or select the option to "always allow", "remember this action" or similiar.

After a few moments a chat window will pop up, and prompt you to accept our disclaimer, this explains the software's purpose and after you accept the software will look for a representative for you. You will be alerted when one picks up your request or if none are available at the time, we recommend you call our support line first before begining a remote support session to ensure a representative is available.

The chat window is a small window that allows you to type a message to a technician, and them in turn can reply back to you, using this software they can also remote control your computer once you have accepted their request to do so.

The Technician is then able to see and control your PC as if they were right there next to you, using this software allows us to quickly identify and in most cases resolve alot of problems quickly and simply, reducing time required from you and resulting in a far less stressful experience.

Upon completion, the session is ended by the technician, and the software is uninstalled completely from your computer, so that no one can remote control your PC without your permission. You can of course disconnect an active session at any time by pressing the large disconnect button.
